“Moscow Mules and NOP Slides” is a new podcast where we bring cyber security professionals together to discuss drinks and topics surrounding their projects or work. Drinks doesn’t just mean alcoholic beverages. Maybe you make a killer coffee in the morning. Do you make your own kombucha from scratch? Or do you just love yourself an ice cold soda every now and then. Drinks is an unrestricted category and want to hear how you “wet your whistle”. The second half of our conversation will allow our guests an unguided experience to discuss their side projects they are working on or what keeps them passionate about their day job. Either way, the topics of choice are endless. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for listening or watching. And if you are interested in being a guest on an episode of “Moscow Mules and NOP Slides” please reach out. We would love to meet you!

This week on Moscow Mules and NOP Slides, we have Sergei Frankoff (@herrcore and https://www.openanalysis.net). Another podcast filled with jokes and laughter, Sergei wets his whistle with a refreshing Corona straight from the bottle. He talks about his journey into cyber security from starting as a developer to a pentester to an IR manager to his current role as a reverse engineer. He also highlights his personal two-week approach on how he switched careers to a reverse engineer. We discuss how TwitterSOC (the InfoSec community on Twitter) helps to combat empire building as well as his new free malware unpacking service called UNPACME (https://www.unpac.me). We also discuss the OALabs YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/OALabs) where he and Sean ((@seanmw) the other half of OpenAnalysis) build malware tutorials for the community. We talk about how a reverse engineer should use the channel (be sure to check out the Bloopers video) as well as his enjoyment of video editing (i.e. Thug Life IDA).
David drinks a @SwitchbackBeer Ale which is a "well balanced reddish amber ale" out of a Synth Hop (IG synth.hop) Hulk Smash large tumbler glass.
Kyle sips on a @NewTrailBrewing IPA called Rock Run out of a Hop Killers (IG hopkillers) TMNT Donatello "Solo Cup" style glass.
Thank you to Sergei for being a guest and the great conversation! We hope you enjoy. Please don't forget to subscribe!
